A painter with a background in graffiti, Alexandre – Alëxone – Dizac’s trademark is the play on words and wits in a merging animal society, making a popular voice heard with demonstrative malice.

Alëxone’s paintings are born from the abstraction of color, and the careful use of a colorful “bourgeois fabric” covered with patterns as a backdrop. Added to this are animal and human figures, funny or fanciful chimeras from his own bestiary which invade the canvas. We find in particular anthropomorphic penguins: these iconic protagonists of the works of Alëxone Dizac, funny birds with cartoonish postures, find themselves established as main subjects or relegated to the status of simple decorative motif in each composition.

Using multiple references (graffiti, Byzantine art, comics) his field of experimentation is almost infinite: lithography, bronze, glassware, ceramics, design, styling and culinary art. Each meeting gives rise to the creation of unique works, limited editions, objects or treats intended for wide distribution.

He was recently featured in a vast retrospective exhibition of his more than 20 years of career at the Museum of Fine Arts in Nancy “A Coeur Ouvert”.
