Biography.
ADER

Native New Yorker, Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, started writing in the early 1990’s. He has been active on New York city painting scene throughout Mayor Dinkins and Mayor Giuliani Era. His first gallery break was in 1998 for a group show at Martinez Gallery. First television appearance was BBC international . After that exhibition Ader was featured in the Arts section for a cover story in the New York Times.

Rob ader who comes from an art background has spent his earlier years drawing and painting .Attending school for fine arts and illustration studies traditional methods .There was one apparent things from an early age he always had a love for colors and letters . The motion of shapes moving on roaring trains through the city to young to read by colors to remember. growing up in the heart of Brooklyn ,it’s not a coincidence he became immersed in the subculture of graffiti. He coined the name “Ader” from the 1980s British comedy “the black adder” .
Ader became known throughout the scene for scrawling his signature countlessly throughout NewYork city . He went on to receive accolades from peers during the nineties . By 1998 he was a participant in an historic group show held at Martinez Gallery in Chelsea . The show was titled “old school meets new school “. Immediately after the success of the show . Press and publications came from world wide audiences. He was featured first on bbc international then telemundo Chanel 41 . Then Mass Appeal magazine ,beautiful decay ,life sucks die. The highlight would also lead to coverage in the 1999 August New York Times Art section . Later he was featured in Broken windows by Kenneth Eng .First showcased at Angelicas Theatre in Nyc Then channel 13 pbs . He would later go on to be the headline writer on all promotional ads for Graff Core 1.0 by video Graf Productions . Ader has work featured in Handselecta “Flip the script “ by Christian Acker. Recently he was featured in a “Modern Calligraphy Bible “ celebrating works of 101 artists from around the world . Published by Schifferpublishing
He is fully immersed in his art .His main focus is to now utilize those skills to give back to the community . That channeled his energy. He was recently a part of another group show held at Sugar Head Quarters in the lower east side . All works proceeds went to charity . Ader then went on to be enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and deploy through the world to many countries and continents. In which he has held embassy duty position and deployed during Operation Iraqi freedom. His work shows various stages in life through travels ,trials ,and tribulations .
